By Air

Montrose can be easily accessed by Air using local airports at Aberdeen; a 1-1/2 hour drive to the North, Dundee – 45 minutes’ drive to the South and Edinburgh; a 1-1/2 hour drive to the South.

By Rail

Montrose is located on the main east coast rail line midway between Aberdeen and Dundee. It has a main rail station at which most trains stop. A taxi will take you a short ride to your accommodation or the Golf Course.

By Road

From the South:

From Edinburgh take the A90 North to the Queensferry Crossing, then follow the M90 North to Perth, then follow the A90 to Dundee. Finally, follow the A92 North passing by Monifieth and Carnoustie and through Arbroath,

From the North:

From Aberdeen follow the A90 South towards Dundee. After passing Stonehaven take the A92 which will take you along the coastal tourist route where you will enjoy the magnificent coastline – passing by the villages of Gourdon and Johnshaven and through Inverbervie and St Cyrus before reaching Montrose.

Once in Montrose

When you arrive in Montrose follow the Tourist signs for the Beach and Golf Courses. Royal Montrose Mercantile Golf Club is the large sandstone building at the corner of Traill Drive and the East Links car-park, looking towards the 1st tee of the Montrose ‘1562’ course.
